Family Voices of Wisconsin staff can provide the following services for agencies/organizations:
- Provide training seminars* to families and providers on topics including: advocacy, leadership development, working with the health care and community support systems, understanding Medicaid and private insurance, improving partnerships between families and providers, etc.
- Develop and/or review educational and training materials, ensuring that they are family friendly and understandable to a wide audience;
- Conduct focus groups and listening sessions;
- Conduct telephone interviews with a parents/families;
- Assist health care and community services organizations to identify and recruit family members who have children with special health care needs and/or disabilities to Advisory Committees, Boards and Councils.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to administrators and policy makers;
- Other services as appropriate.
*All of our trainings embrace principles of adult learning, use family stories to engage participants, and have a highly interactive style.
